Low-altitude economy was included in the government work reports in 2024 and 2025, and the "15th Five-Year Plan" proposal explicitly stated: "Accelerate the development of strategic emerging industry clusters such as new energy, new materials, aerospace, and low-altitude economy," elevating it to a strategic height closely linked to the nation's vital interests and firmly establishing its role as a new growth engine.

To promote the agglomeration and development of the low-altitude economy industrial chain in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and to build an autonomous, controllable, and globally competitive comprehensive economic ecosystem for the low-altitude economy with regional characteristics, the "2026 International Low-Altitude Economy Trade Expo / 9th Global Unmanned Systems Conference" will be held at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from September 11 to 13, 2026.

This year’s event, themed "Deepening Ecological Cooperation, Embracing the Future of Low-Altitude Economy," will delve into the core demands and pain points of low-altitude economy development. The conference is positioned to focus on industrial development, overseas innovation, domestic and international economic and trade cooperation, development trends, technological innovation, and application scenarios. It will organize over 20 activities, including industry supply and demand matchmaking, venture capital and investment pairing, dedicated promotion sessions, business negotiations, and thematic forums. These activities aim to foster closed-loop business cooperation, deepen collaboration within the industrial and supply chains, accelerate the establishment of a new ecosystem for low-altitude import and export trade that coordinates both domestic and international circulations, and promote the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy industry.
